PET FURNITURE INSIGHTS
A Buyer’s Guide to Pet Furniture Sourcing and OEM

Successful pet furniture sourcing begins with a clear brief. From the first sample to shipment, a shared specification helps buyers and suppliers make decisions with fewer surprises.
Define the product and your customer
Describe the intended pet, use environment, preferred size, materials and target positioning. Share reference images and explain which details are essential and which can be adjusted. If you sell in more than one market, identify destination-specific requirements early.
Discuss customization before sampling
OEM and private-label projects can involve changes to colours, materials, branding, packaging or other details. Confirm what is feasible for the chosen product and request a written specification. Ask about minimum order quantities, sample arrangements and lead times before making a commitment.
Review samples and agree on checks
Evaluate the sample against the agreed dimensions, construction, finish and packaging. Record any changes and confirm the final version with your supplier. Decide how and when production quality will be checked, and keep an agreed reference for comparison.
Prepare packaging and logistics
Confirm carton dimensions, labelling, assembly instructions and shipment arrangements. If products come from multiple sources, discuss consolidation and the documents required for your destination. Final pricing and delivery terms should be recorded in your quotation or purchase agreement.
